Light

Interesting...

In NYC sunrise is 5:57am and sunset is 7:49pm.

In Seattle sunrise is 5:55am and sunset is 8:17pm.

Those extra 30 minutes of light are very noticeable. And it is making my bedtime difficult to uphold!

Sherif and Seedy Dude

All of a sudden the bus made an unscheduled stop near Sodo (near the stadiums) for what felt like  forever. The doors were open so cold air was streaming in...sigh. Then two police officers from the Seattle Sherif's office came abroad through the back doors. They approached a sketchy-looking guy with tattoos all over his face (yes, including tear drops) and asked him to come with them. The guy refused and started explaining that he had to be at work. After some prodding and a hand blatantly placed on a taxer or handcuffs or something, an officer was able to persuade the guy to get off the bus. After he left, I noticed that he "dropped" something in a little baggie:

What color is crack?

Very Odd

I am craving mussels. I don't really like shellfish. But what I would give for a bucket of garlic-y muscles and some bread right now...

On a Sunny Day Off

Lounging on a bench near south lake union by MOHAI (museum of history and industry).

18,000

Just 18,000 emails to go through. No biggie...

The View

On Sunday I went up to Kerry Park to see the famous view. It's really beautiful. The clouds prevented Mt Rainier from making an appearance in the background, though.

Fro-yo

Finally found a frozen yogurt place in Queen Anne (they are totally absent from Belltown and Downtown). Very minimal fruit selection, but I'll take what I can get.

Miss you, Red Mango!

Deep Thought

The same kids that are awesome at doing a rubix cube are also very good at origami.

Travel Issues

Why are there no direct flights from Seattle to Cancun? The shortest return flight is 14 hours (1 stop that is always a 5-6 hour lay over).
